The Freedom Fund is a critical annual fundraiser run by NAACP Branches since 1953. This year marks our 59th Freedom Fund event, Call to Action! We, the Coatesville Area Branch of the NAACP, are raising support for our social programs and initiatives.
We are proud to announce we’ll be featuring speakers LaKesha “Onyx” Hicks, Social Activist, Author, and Vice President of the Portsmouth, Virginia Chapter of the NAACP, and Deputy Secretary Kerry L. Kirkland, Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion, and Small Business opportunities, PA Department of General Services at this years’ event.
We engage in political action, voter registration, legal redress, social inclusion for women, human and civil rights, healthcare and education, labor and industry, and provision for economic security for all people of color and those who are disadvantaged.
